RAJASTHAN CRICKET ASSOCIATION ANGRY ON BCCI

BCCI suspended Rajasthan Cricket Association and therefore RCA became angry

Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) suspended Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) from taking any decision at the board’s meeting. Furious RCA questioned about the purity in suspension and said that BCCI is itself in problem with the case of Lodha Panel.

“The plea that BCCI has been constituted under the Tamil Nadu Society’s Registration Act which as per BCCI’s understanding renders it immune to Lodha committee reforms, is contrary to BCCI’s own stand on Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) constitution and composition as per the provisions of the Rajasthan Sports Act under which Lalit Modi was elected president of the RCA in an election conducted under the auspices of Supreme Court appointed Election Observer Justice N M Kasliwal, retired Supreme Court Judge.” RCA said in a press release.

“Instead of honouring the sanctity of the Rajasthan Sports Act, BCCI arbitrarily suspended the entire Rajasthan Cricket Association. The suspension is in operation well beyond the period specified under BCCI’s own by-laws. The arbitrariness, obstinate and non-transparent conduct of BCCI vis-a-vis RCA is a glaring instance that fairness is badly wanting in BCCI’s internal mechanism. Thus, judicial intervention was an obvious necessity. Present and previous office-bearers of BCCI are responsible for the mess that BCCI is in today.” the association added.
