Mumbai Indians Captain Stays Optimistic Despite Current Situation

Cricket News: Despite losing four of the five matches they have played so far, captain Rohit Sharma has expressed his optimism saying that things could be turned around as has been the case in the past.

Mumbai Indians can turn things around just like they had done in the past, says Rohit Sharma.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians began the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League in the worst possible way as they lost their three opening games to Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils.

They won their fourth game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, thanks to brilliant innings from Rohit Sharma as he scored 94 runs from 52 deliveries.

However, they lost their fifth game to Rajasthan Royals by three wickets, which have made things a bit more difficult in their quest to make it to the playoffs.

Amidst all this Rohit Sharma, who was spotted at a book release function, said that he is very much optimistic regarding a comeback.

“So far whatever is happening with MI, it is not going the way we want to. But I think we will turn things around like we have done it in the past. Hopefully, we can turn it around this time,” said Rohit Sharma.

He said this referring to the 2015 season of the Indian Premier League, where Mumbai Indians had lost five of their six matches. From there the three-time champions made a spectacular comeback and went to lift the trophy which became their second IPL title.
