After bestowed with the Prestigious ward Dhoni joins the elite club of Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Chandu Borde, Prof DB Deodhar, Col CK Nayudu, Raja Bhalindra Singh, Vijaya Anand and Lala Amarnath.

In September 2017 BCCI nominated the former Indian cricketer for the Padma Bhushan award, the decision was taken by Unanimously by Indian cricket board, in his career so far he is the only Indian captain to win two world titles,(2007 T20 world cup and in 2011  ODI world cup) and also he has won the ICC Champions trophy in 2013.

The 36-year-old has so far played 312 ODI matches for team India and scored 9898 runs, and in also represented team India in 90 test matches and have 4876 runs to his name.

In his career he has  16 centuries in his name(10 in ODI and 6 in tests)while batting in the lower middle order of the batting line up, recently he has scored his 100th international 50 in all the formats.
