Its Virat kohli the show man in the Caribbean again for team India,  Kohli batted with intent and scored a marvellous Test hundred in Caribbean. At the end of day 1 kohli remained unbeaten at 143* and Ashwin also played a handy innings, which took the partnership to 66-run after the loss of fourth wicket on Day 1 of the first Test.

Virat Kohli scored his 12th century in his career and his first against the Windies, Yes you heard it right, it’s his first century against Caribbean’s and that too in Caribbean soil. 

After a shaky start  by the Indian openers, and the partnership of between Shikhar Dhawan and  cheteshwar Pujara could not give momentum to Indian Innings as Pujara walked back by just scoring 16 runs, out came the magnificent Virat Kohli and coped with the situation. The Indian skipper reaches yet another milestone in his career as he has scored 3000 runs in Test cricket. 

Kohli and Dhawan stayed on the wicket and build up a formidable partnership to take India  beyond the 150 runs with the loss of two wickets. When it was looking comfortable for Dhawan and India were dominating the innings, then the Windies fought back and got the wicket of  Shikhar Dhawan  on 84 runs. But Kohli remained on the pitch scoring unbeaten 143, and build up a partnership  with Ashwin for the fourth wicket, both of them added 105-runs in 27.1 over. At the end of the day’s play, India reached to a commanding position, having 302-runs with the loss of four wickets on the scoreboard
