The fever of the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) is gradually rising. The star players have also taken the responsibility to boost the tournament and add to its USP.

Recently two TV advertisements were released by Star Sports, the official broadcaster of IPL. In one video wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was seen taking a jibe at former skipper MS Dhoni.

In another video pacer Jasprit Bumrah taunted the current skipper Virat Kohli. Now it is time for both the senior players to reply to the taunts from their juniors. According to which Kohli has already replied to Bumrah’s taunting.

Bumrah plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. In the video he said that he is still not the best bowler in the world as he hasn’t taken the wicket of Virat Kohli, the best batsman in the world. He also gave a friendly warning to Kohli and said, “Aar aha hoon Cheeku bhaiya! Aur iss baar aap mere team mein bhi nehi rahenge.”

Bumrah’s ‘Cheeku bhaiya’ aka Virat Kohli saw the challenge and was surprised . He asked, “Aapne captain ko sledge karega? (You want to sledge your own captain?)” Kohli then returned the jibe to the pacer saying,  “Chal, aakhir sikh hi gaya tu! Baas, Chiku bhaiya se koi udhaari expect mat karna. (well, you have also learnt it finally. Just do not expect any favour from your Chiku bhaiya)”

Here is the funny video:

The entire cricketing fraternity is excited to witness the battle of the two giants. Both Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will face each other on March 28 in Bengaluru. RCB skipper Kohli will look for their first IPL trophy, while MI will target their record fourth title this year.

Disappointment against Australia

Meanwhile both these cricketers had a disappointment recently while playing for the national team. On Wednesday night in the same venue of Bengaluru, Australia’s Glenn Maxwell caused a mayhem.

Maxwell’s 113 not out from 55 balls blew away India in the second and final T20I. The Men in Yellow won the game by 7 wickets and also their maiden T20I series by winning it 2-0.

Kohli played a good unbeaten knock of 72 from 38 balls. However Bumrah failed to impress as he conceded 30 runs from his four overs without taking a wicket.

Bumrah’s determined show at Visakhapatnam earned him many accolades, but he couldn’t replicate the same in Bengaluru. Both the teams will now play a five-match ODI series, which will be India’s last international assignment before World Cup 2019.
