The Decision Review System or DRS has become a good technology in the last few years. On the other hand because of Indian Twitter users, DRS has got a parallel definition of Dhoni Review System.

This is because of the veteran’s excellent record while approaching the technology. Even fans and pundits often hail Dhoni for taking the correct review. Even skipper Virat Kohli consults Dhoni before taking a review in every game.

However in the third ODI against Australia, Kohli decided to challenge Dhoni. He didn’t pay heed to Dhoni’s decision and even had to pay the price for it. It was the second over of Aussie innings when Jasprit Bumrah hit the pads of Aaron Finch.

The incident looked close and as a result everyone went up in unison. However the umpire didn’t give out. Bumrah approached Kohli to go for the review immediately. Kohli asked Dhoni but the latter seemed not very convinced.

Nevertheless Kohli went for the DRS, where the HawkEye showed that Dhoni was correct. The ball was going over the stumps and as a result India lost their only review of the innings.
