Kapil Dev To Stand with his Country’s Decision

The attacks in Pulwama has affected the bilateral ties between India and Pakistan.The cowardly attack  by Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-E-Mohammed on a CRPF military convoy has taken the lives of 44 jawans. Kapil Dev ,the Ex-Indian Captain has now broke his silence on the matter.

Since then, everything has gone wrong as far as the bilateral cricket relations are concerned. Due to all round protest in the country, many question marks is rising over the World Cup clash between India and Pakistan on June 16 in Manchester, England.

Since then several former players including Sourav Ganguly and Harbhajan Singh wants India to boycott the match against Pakistan. They want it as a mark of protest.

On the other side, many formers like Sunil Gavaskar, Aakash Chopra and Sachin Tendulkar and some others think India should play the match .And they should inflict a crushing defeat on the arch-rivals.

However, Kapil Dev the Ex-Indian Allrounder and captain has come up with a different opinion. While the World Cup-winning skipper did not reveal the the whole matter. But he also supports the the most popular demand.

He told to Times Now :

The country’s stand is my stand. We should not hold much discussion regarding it. We will agree on whatever step the government takes.

The legendary allrounder’s comment came just moments after the meeting of the BCCI and CoA officials on Friday. The officials came up with some big decisions after the meeting.  

BCCI wrote to ICC, telling the “cricketing community to sever ties with countries from which terrorism emanates”.

Vinod Rai, CoA chief also said that the final decision to play against Pakistan in the World Cup is totally upto the Indian Government and what they decide.
