India Might Opt For Some Changes in Series Decider

England and India are all set to end the ODI series in a high as they gear up for the series decider game which will played at Leeds today.

Cricket news: The 3rd ODI at Leeds will decide who will clinch the ODI series

The two teams are currently placed in the top two positions in the ODI rankings and they looked evenly matched before the beginning of the series.

To increase the tempo, India won the first game comprehensively by a chasing down the target in 40 overs, but were totally outplayed in the second game by the Brits.

Thus the series is absolutely in balance and the final game will decide which team will take the honours finally.

England might not want to change anything in the squad as that might disrupt their winning combination, however India might opt for some changes.

India is currently playing without their front line pacers in the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. While Bumrah is totally out of the ODI series, it would be interesting to see if the management opts for Bhuvi in the final fixture.

Another possible change might be including Dinesh Karthik in place of either KL Rahul or Suresh Raina. Karthik has been selected for the tour totally based on his batting merit.

The wicketkeeper-batsman has enough skills to carry the team through a tough phase, can act like a finisher and can also go for the kill from the very first ball he faces.

There was a post on Instagram from team India where Karthik was seen practising with fielding coach R Sridhar. If that be the case, he might be included ahead of Rahul to strengthen the batting.

While Raina has justified his place in the team with his 46 in the previous game and has also played the role of a sixth bowler, Rahul has not performed well after his hundred in the first T20I with scores of 6, 19, 9, 0 in the last four outings on this tour.
