I want the World Cup : Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly felt that India has some good chances in winning the World Cup. Since all the teams will be facing each other, he felt that the boycotting the match wouldn’t affect India’s chances in the tournament.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President also termed India as favourites for the World Cup.

He told to Times of India regarding the Tendulkar issue :

He wants two points against Pakistan, I want the World Cup. Whichever way you look at it. This is a 10 team World Cup and each team plays matches against every other team. If India doesn’t play a match in the World Cup, it won’t be an issue.

In a turn of events , due to the protest of  the Pulwama attack, CAB is also thinking whether to remove the portraits of the ex-Pakistan players. The Prince of Kolkata confirmed that they have not decided on that matter yet.

Ganguly also felt that the final decision will be taken by the Government whether India will play against Pakistan in the World Cup or not.
