The Board for Control of Cricket in India has banged up a notice to IJPL to wind up the unofficial contract by the BCCI which should be made only after a prior notice given by the board.

Delhi’s business man Dinesh Kapoor promoted the event in which young talents were welcomed by the league owners and it grabbed the eyes of BCCI when Gambhir tweeted regarding dis saying ‘New Horizons’ @IJPLT20, which is a national tournament for young cricket aspirants.

This move would have definitely taken the players confidence and boosted it up to some extent, playing at a platform like this is always a boon for the board and for the players as well.

It also comprises of a team and formation and it stands like, The IJPL mentions former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes, Caribbean T20 specialist Kieron Pollard and Himachal Pradesh cricketer Rishi Dhawan are the mentors.

As per the sources and SPORTSLIBRO.COM have confirmed, Gambhir has said that he has already removed his name from the IJPL committee and no discussions regarding this will be entertained further on.

“Gambhir decided to promote a league knowing that he wasn’t contracted with the BCCI at the time but was sent a notice immediately . MS Dhoni had promoted the UAE-based Masters Champions League (MCL) and had sent out a video message supporting the league despite being the India captain. But the BCCI had no objection to that,” a source in the know of things said.

“Rhiti Sports, the company associated with Dhoni, also bought a team in the MCL but it all conveniently went unnoticed. Gambhir’s association  despite the fact that he doesn’t have a contract with BCCI right now turned out to be a problem,” the source added.
