De Villiers In, Another Superstar Out

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings are going to face each other in the 35th match on Saturday of the 11th Indian Premier League.

Cricket News: De Villiers is going to return while De Kock will surely miss CSK match, said Vettori

Daniel Vettori, who is the head coach of the Bangalore team, has confirmed that AB de Villiers will be returning for the match as he has become fully fit. Mr. 360 has missed the previous two games as he was suffering a viral fever.

However RCB will not be getting the services of their regular South African wicketkeeper, Quinton de Kock, as he has flown to his country to attend a wedding.

Vettori was seen speaking to the reporters on the eve of the match. He said, “AB is fit. Quinton is away from this game. He has returned home for a wedding. He’s unavailable for this match. Easy decision for us to make.”

Vettori has also praised his compatriot Kiwi cricketer, Colin De Grandhomme, who hit three sixes in the final over against the Mumbai Indians which sealed the game in favour of RCB.

“Colin (De Grandhomme) did a great job in the last game. I think the 20-odd runs he scored was the reason why we won the game. Really satisfied with how Colin has come into the team.”

When Vettori was asked if there is any concern with finishing, he said, “Mandeep (Singh) has been consistent. Finishing plays a part when you don’t do well at the top. We have done well at the top with the experienced four batsmen generally batting well.”

The former Kiwi spinner has also expressed that he is satisfied with the way his bowlers have bowled in the 14-run win against Mumbai and has said that the Saturday game will also be decided by the bowlers.

“I think we got our combination right. (Tim) Southee has been exceptional, (Mohammad) Siraj has been improving and (Yuzvendra) Chahal and Umesh (Yadav) are tight as ever,” concluded Vettori.
