RCB had started IPL 2019 on a very poor note. However their spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had a superb run so far. He has taken 14 wickets from 10 matches and is currently third in the race for the Purple Cap.

Chahal is also one of the most economical bowlers of the tournament this year. Because of his brilliant show in the IPL, Yuzi was selected in the Indian team and since his debut has become a vital part of it.

He has made a deadly combo with his spin twin Kuldeep Yadav. The spinning duo is set to play a huge role for India in the upcoming World Cup. As far as his IPL performance is concerned, Chahal feels honoured to be a part of RCB.

He feels that it is a privilege to be the go-to bowler for his captain Virat Kohli. Yuzi also added that RCB is just like a family for him. He loves coming to Bengaluru every year to play for the franchise.

RCB is like a family to me : Chahal

“It’s like a family to me, when I came here in 2014 I never thought that I’ll play for this franchise. I really enjoy when I come to Bengaluru and I only want to play for RCB in the IPL throughout my life,” Chahal was quoted as saying by India Today.

The 28-year-old spinner also credited the spectators for coming out in huge numbers to support RCB. The team’s homeground is the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However Yuzi also admitted that it is tough to concentrate when the spectators are loud and are cheering.

“When you play at Chinnaswamy Stadium, it is very loud and the crowd is always supporting you. But whenever I bowl I just try to focus on my game and my situation like where to bowl, so I am used to it now and it is nothing new for me,” he added.
