Bumrah Beats Starc To Become Fastest In Adelaide

Jasprit Bumrah has been one of India’s main pace bowler in all the three formats of the game. The Ahmedabad-born pacer debuted for his country back in 2016.

He forayed into the Test squad in the three-match series against South Africa, where India lost the series 1-2. Although he had suffered some injuries, he managed to recover well in time.

The 25-year-old is currently playing in Australia in the four-match Test series. The first Test is currently being played at Adelaide Oval where the visitors have a 59 runs lead. Australia have three wickets in hand in their first innings.

For the visitors, Bumrah has been excellent with the red cherry. Till now the pacer has bowled 20 overs in which he has conceded just 34 runs. Along with that he has taken the prized wickets of Peter Handscomb and Pat Cummins as well.

Bumrah spits venom as he bowls the fastest delivery of the Test

Bumrah has been very consistent and accurate with his deliveries. As a result he delivered nine maiden overs. To add to this delight, he even set the speedometer on fire.

According to a report in The Cricket Prof., one of Bumrah’s deliveries in his first spell clocked 153 km/h. Australia have some pacey speedsters in their ranks, especially Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins. But none of them could cross Bumrah in terms of being the fastest bowler.

It is not a surprise especially when the match is played on Australian pitches. Generally the Aussies welcome their opponents with these kind of missile-like deliveries.

However in this case, they have got a taste of their own medicine. Bumrah will get one more go in the first innings with the ball on the third day. He would definitely want to pick the remaining three wickets and hand his team a good first innings lead.
