BCCI Clears Reason behind Absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The Test squad of the Indian team for the first three Test matches in the upcoming five-Test match series against England has recently been announced by BCCI.

Cricket news: Bhuvi is not included in the squad for the first three Tests against England

The last time India came on a tour in England was in 2014 where they lost the Test series 3-1 after winning the second Test match in Lord’s. This time the first Test will begin from the first of August and will played at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Meanwhile before the series began the Men in Blue have been dealt with a massive blow as their main pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar failed to find a spot in the squad.

He has been suffering from a back injury which has increased in recent times. He could not play a few matches in the IPL and then had to sit out for the final game and also the deciding T20I game against England at County Ground in Bristol.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently updated about his injury. “Bhuvneshwar aggravated a lower back condition in the 3rd ODI against England. His condition is being assessed and a call on him will be “made soon,” the BCCI was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

India recently lost the three-match ODI series against England by 2-1. India won the first match thanks to performances from Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit Sharma.

In the second match England came back strongly as Joe Root scored his 12th ODI century and helped his team to level the series.

In the series decider game, the Brits contained the visitors to a modest total and later chased down the target, thanks to Root’s 13th ODI century who was accompanied by skipper Eoin Morgan.

India will now have to set aside the ODI disappointment and have to bounce back with a refreshed outlook and perform well in the Test series.
