Another Kiwi player was one of the worst signings of Chennai Super Kings. Styris was known for coming down the order and produce deadly finishes. Along with that he delivered crucial overs.
However in 2011, Styris only played 2 games. He added just 5 runs and bowled only 1 over, where he gave 13 runs without taking any wicket. He couldn’t manage to click and he spent the rest of the season on the bench.
One could only wonder why Scott was bought in the auctions. Styris didn’t fit in the team and was later released from his contract. After that he did many behind the scenes roles. But after that he never played for any other team in the IPL.

One might wonder when was George Bailey part of the Chennai Super Kings. But the truth is that Bailey was part of CSK squad for four seasons from 2009-12. However Bailey’s talent was barely used by Chennai Super Kings.
He played only 4 games, one per season, and scored only 63 runs. In 2014, he returned to Kings XI Punjab as their captain and led them to their first IPL finals. He played in 17 games and scored 257 runs at a decent strike-rate of 135.26.
But KXIP retained him for only one season. In that season his batting remained same, but his leadership skills diminished. As a result he was released and picked up by now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants. There too Bailey failed to impress and was eventually dropped.
