2. Rahul Sharma and Wayne Parnell

Both these players were arrested during IPL of 2012 in the month of May. The charges against them were drug abuse. At that time both of them played for Pune Warriors. The police raided a suburban hotel in Mumbai as it was alleged that drugs were consumed in there.
86 persons were arrested from that party and a 1200-page charge sheet was filed. In that charge sheet, foreign cricketer Parnell was shown as wanted accused. However both Rahul and Parnell claimed innocent. Rahul said that he was just attending a birthday party with Parnell.
Parnell said that they were only drinking and dancing. He further stated that it was only a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. However both these players were among the 40 people who tested positive for the drugs.
3. Luke Pomersbach
Luke was also arrested during IPL at around the same time when Rahul and Parnell were arrested. The RCB’s foreign recruit was alleged of molesting a US woman. It was further revealed that Luke had gone to a Delhi five-star hotel, the Maurya Sheraton.
There he was accused of beating the woman’s boyfriend. The incident took place after a game between Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals) and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Luke was arrested under many charges.
These included IPC sections 354 (outraging modesty of a woman), 323 (hurt), 454 (lurking house-trespass) and 511 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonments).
Later during the trials, Luke fainted in the court. Afterwards both the parties had an out-of-court settlement. As a result all the charges were lifted. However due to the arrest, Luke was unable to play any other games for RCB in that particular season.
