5 Indian Players Who Gets Lots of Support from Skipper Virat Kohli

1. Hardik Pandya

Pandya has enjoyed a great amount of faith from Kohli despite failing to fulfil his tag as an all-rounder. Pandya has played 52 international innings under Kohli and has scored 1126 runs at an average of 30 and has taken 60 wickets from 64 innings.

The 25-year-old has a long list of failures to his name in the last 18 months. He failed against New Zealand (69 runs and 3 wickets in 6 innings), South Africa (158 runs in 11 innings and 10 wickets in 15 innings) and England (356 runs in 15 innings and 21 wickets in 17 innings).

Although there were few good performances here and there, yet he would not have sustained his place in the team if not for Kohli. The skipper believes that Pandya’s inclusion offers a great balance to the side and it is high time that the all-rounder repays his captain’s faith with some good performances on a consistent basis.
