MI have already two quality openers in the likes of Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma. As said earlier, they lack in the mid-section and Kieron Pollard hasn’t been in his very best. Last season also he was rested in a few instances.
Thus MI needs a reliable and flexible batsman. Although Munro is an opener, yet he can bat at No. 3 or 4 as he has done for New Zealand in few instances. In return for Munro’s services, MI can give Ben Cutting to Delhi Capitals.
DC needs a flexible all-rounder who can hit the ball out of the park right from the word ‘go’. Moreover Cutting can be a handy bowler who can chip in 2-3 overs on a consistent basis. Thus MI should definitely go for this in the IPL trade.
