Mark Boucher

Boucher is one of the greatest wicket-keepers of all-time. He was South Africa’s best and mainstay wicket-keeper and had a illustrious career spanning 15 years.
He has the record of most number of dismissals in all formats of the game. As a middle-order batsman, he has pulled his team out of dire straits many times.
Based on his performances, he won the South African Player of the Year award in 1998, 2000 and 2006. He was also named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2009.
However during South Africa’s tour of England in 2012, a flying bail struck his eye. Boucher had previously planned to retire at the end of the tour. But because of the severity of the injury, he instantly retired from international cricket on 10 July 2012.
