5 Cricketers Whose Names Resemble Food Items

Allan Lamb

Lamb was one of England’s finest batsmen of his era and one of a kind. His name didn’t receive much mockery as the media coverage in that era wasn’t too huge.

However many wouldn’t have dared to mock the legendary batsman. This is because Lamb was one of England’s finest batsman in both ODI and Test cricket.

His career spanned over a decade and he also represented England in three different World Cups. Among those he also reached the final of the tournament twice in 1987 and 1992.

Lamb was originally born in South Africa. But because of Apartheid constraints, he ended up playing for England. The 66-year-old legend represented his country in 79 Tests and 122 ODIs. The legendary cricketer ended up scoring over 8000 runs in international cricket.
