MATCH PREVIEW: DELHI DAREDEVILS vs KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS, IPL 2017

SPORTSLIBRO CRICKET- LATEST CRICKET NEWS

As we all know KKR is in its peak form and they are trashing out every opponent they are getting on their way and it will be quiet difficult for the Daredevils to win over them but the benefit for Delhi is that they are playing in their homeground

With KKR in the second spot of the league and Daredevils securing their spot in the third place it will be very interesting to see their clash today

Team News:

Delhi Daredevils: There is little reason for Delhi to tamper with their playing XI. Karun Nair’s spot in the playing XI had come under the scanner after his repeated failures and a tendency to fall prey to the short ball ploy. The Karnataka batsman could however be given a longer rope to prove his credentials. The bowling unit has no concerns whatsoever and, unless there is any injury concern, doesn’t warrant a change.

Probable XI: Sam Billings, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Chris Morris, Corey Anderson, Pat Cummins, Zaheer Khan (C), Shahbaz Nadeem, Amit Mishra.

Kolkata Knight Riders: There hasn’t been an update on Lynn’s injury status but the fact that the Australian is sticking around with the unit could be proof enough that the concerns aren’t as serious as they were initially thought to be. That said, he is an unlikely starter against Delhi. The nature of the pitch could determine which one of Shakib Al Hasan, who is fit and available, and Colin de Grandhomme make it to the XI.

Probable XI: Gautam Gambhir (C), Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Suryakumar Yadav, Shakib Al Hasan/Colin de Grandhomme, Sunil Narine, Chris Woakes, Kuldeep Yadav/Piyush Chawla, Trent Boult, Umesh Yadav

What they said?

“We looked at 160 as probably a good total and anything beyond that we knew with our bowling attack we would probably defend. Getting those 20-30 runs more than what we needed was obviously vital in the end,” Corey Anderson on Delhi’s all-round victory against KXIP in their first home game.

“We did end up with less than what we would have liked… But we did really well to defend that score, especially in Eden when batting second and chasing is slightly easier. The way defended it is commendable,” Robin Uthappa said after KKR handed holders SRH a 17-run beating.
