Best XI of the Afghanistan Premier League 2018 Tournament

10. Sayed Shirzad – Kandahar Knights

The 24-year-old left-arm pacer has made quite a name for himself from the time he took 7 wickets in 3 T20Is at an average of 11 for Afghanistan at the international level.

In this season of APL, he became the second highest wicket-taker by grabbing 16 wickets from 8 games. However in order to be called back in the national team, he needs to work on his expensive side and try to make efforts to contain the run flow.

11. Qais Ahmed – Balkh Legends

Afghanistan was always known to be the birth place of world class spinners and Qais Ahmed is yet another example of it. Before featuring in the APL, he had played in the Afghanistan U19 side and has played in the Caribbean Premier League.

The young leg-break bowler has used his variations effectively in the APL and picked up 15 wickets from 9 games at an average of just 12.53. His 5-wicket haul in the final restricted the Kabul Zwanan to a low score and helped his team win the glorious trophy.
