West Indies vs. India Day 3: Day belongs to Mohammad sami, West Indies to follow-on

Day 3 belongs to the Indian bowlers,  especially  to the comeback man Mohammed Shami .  The earlier 2 days of the 1st test match were dominated by the Indian batsmen. On day 3 the bowling attack puts West Indies in a shaky position and potentially a phase from return will take a considerable measure of doing.

 

West Indies resumes at 21/1 on the 3rd day of the 1st test match, Kraigg Brathwaite and Devender Bishoo started well for the Windies in the morning session but Amit Mishra produces the break though for India. Sami then after produce a fiery spell from the other end and took three crucial wickets which takes the game in India’s favours, as immense pressure was created on the incoming West Indies batsmen.

 

Shami got quick three wickets from the middle order in his spell, which had broken the backbone of the West Indies batting line-up , as he dismissed Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels and Blackwood, the Winies batsmen failed to deal with it. Umesh Yadav also picked up 3 wickets of Roston Chase, Jason holder and Carlos Brathwaite. Mishra picks up the last wicket to end the West Indies 1st innings.

 

India has imposed follow-on over the Windies, as West Indies were bowled out for 243 and India got a lead off 323-runs.

 

Ishant Sharma got the early break thought as he dismissed West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite, who was the highest run getter in the 1st innings. West Indies trail India by 302-runs as they only fetch 21/1 runs as the end of days play.
