ENGLAND VS PAKISTAN, 1ST ODI, VENUE: THE ROSE BOWL, SOUTHAMPTON, PAKISTAN WON THE TOSS AND OPTED TO BAT FIRST.

The news from the center is Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat first, trying to put pressure on the host. As it is a complete batting track out here in Southampton, Both the teams would have preferred to bat first but it was Pakistan that got luck going with the toss.

Pakistan have recently grabbed the no. 1 spot in the ICC test ranking, and we hope to see some speculative performance from the side in the ODI’s too.

From the grounds of the toss:

Morgan: “We would have batted first as well, wicket looks pretty good. Stokes is back purely as a batter. Huge amount of talent in the side, leaving out players has been tough. Huge potential for growth. Wood is back. It’s great to see him come back and hit form. Been bowling with a lot of venom.”

Azhar: “The wicket looks dry, we will be batting first. No Yasir isn’t playing today.”
