ZIMBABWE VS NEW ZEALAND, 2ND TEST, DAY 2: KANE WILLIAMSON AND ROSS TAYLOR TAKES THEIR GAME TO A HEIGHT

New Zealand declared their session after scoring 582 runs

 

 

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson played an innings of 113 runs, smashing 10 boundaries in the second day of second Test in Bulawayo. Ross Taylor followed his mate’s footsteps and reached to an unbeaten score of 124, hitting 10 boundaries with a strike-rate of 71.68. Keeper BJ Watling too played a sincere innings of 83 runs, still on crease.

 

Zimbabwe bowlers could not do much as they expected, Skipper Graeme Cremer took a wicket and Sean Williams stood by his side plucking another.

 

Zimbabwe in batting did not get much scope to score as they ended the day with 55 runs on the board losing no wickets. Tino Mawoyo gathered 20 runs, hitting 4 boundaries and Chamu Chibhabha made a total of 31 runs.

 

New Zealand bowlers were good on the ground. Tim Southee’s 8 maiden of 9 overs showed his talent where as Trent Boult bowled 5 overs, leaving 3 maidens.
