ZIMBABWE VS NEW ZEALAND, 2ND TEST, DAY 3: CRAIG ERVINE GUIDING ZIMBABWE

Zimbabwe trail by 277 runs on the third day of second Test

 

 

New Zealand played a stunning innings of 582 runs and declared on the third day of second Test match. The team lost only 4 wickets and presented their rivals to play further. Tom Latham played a game of 136 runs. Ross Taylor, an unbeaten 124, skipper  Kane Williamson led a match of 113 and keeper BJ Watling undefeated on 83.

 

Zimbabwe bowlers could not resist their rivals as they were on a run-making spree. Donald Tiripano, Michael Chinouya, Graeme Cremer and Sean Williams, each ended up with picking a single man.

 

On the other hand, Zimbabwe on their home-soil could not uphold the run-making spree carried by New Zealand. Craig Ervine still on crease leading his team with a total runs of 115, smashing 15 boundaries. Peter Moor was sent back after he scored 71, hitting 11 boundaries and Chamu Chibhabha returned to the pavilion on 60.

 

New Zealand showed their skills not only in batting but in bowling too. Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi both plucked 2 wickets for their team where as Tim Southee and Neil Wagner could sent back only singles.
