ENGLAND vs PAKISTAN, 3rd TEST, DAY 1: SOHAIL KHAN MARKED HIS TEST RETURN BY PICKING FIVE-WICKET HAUL

The day belongs to Pakistani seamer Sohail Khan as he picked up 5-96 and bowled England out for 297 on the day one of the third test at Edgbaston.

The 32-year-old justified his place in the starting XI, replacing Wahab Riaz, and what a day he had with the bowl. The right-arm seamer took full advantage of the seaming track and marked his return after five years to test cricket.

Gary Ballance  and Moeen Ali tried to support the England innings by building up some kind partnership after the host were trying to recover from 158-5.

Gary Ballance scored 70 and Moeen Ali also added 63 to the score board after the England’s captain got lbw on 45. England though manages to put up a decent score after a fight back from those two English batsman.

Mohammad Amir and Rahat Ali both pick up two wickets each, but the pick of the bowler was Sohail khan for the Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-haq.
