WEST INDIES VS INDIA, 4TH TEST, DAY 1, RAIN STOPPED PLAY

After West Indies won the toss and decided to come up to bat first trying to put pressure on the visitors, the rain that was expected to pour down came up with a heavy shower resulting the umpires to call off the day’s play with 62/2 on the board for West Indies.

It was quite a decent start for the host nation until Ishant Sharma knocked Leon Johnson from the crease at a poor score of 9, in came Darren bravo looking very confident touching the boundary rope twice was pulled down by Ashwin contributing only 10 runs for his side, kraigg Brathwaite the ranger is giving all the potential to stand tall for his nation and is unbeatable at a score of 32* joining hands with Marlon Samuels who just entered the ground playing at 4*.

Ishant Sharma and Ashwin took 1 wicket each for the side snatching away two early wickets of the host and not allowing to settle down on the pitch with positive vibes.

Just after Marlon Samuels entered the ground it was rain that accompanied him and was drizzling all throughout in regular intervals and as whole of the pitch was not covered up by the grounds men it was finally called off by the umpires.

Let’s be positive of the fact that rain will not be showing up tomorrow, and we expect an early start of the day 2, and a maximum of 98 over’s can be bowled if the weather permits.
