It was quiet action packed day here at Pallekele  International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, after 40 overs of the match was bowled 12 wickets fell and 124 runs was scored, the bowling figures seems so lively at the score card.

It was clearly a bowling pitch with the bowlers getting some swing and turn, today the day went fully on the bowlers let see how the pitch behaves as they come out to play tomorrow.

Indeed the Australia’s bowlers earned a notable admiration. Hazlewood particularly was getting adequate swing from the start of the day to be regularly baleful. Mitchell Starc struck the first wicket, Dimuth Karunaratne lbw at the score of 5 nailing him up, Starc was playing his maiden Test since November and took some time to be back into clear form. Hazlewood was pick of the bowlers who crashed the batting line up of the Srilankan innings.

Australia were 7 for 2, but eventually a half-century was obtainable as Khawaja and Smith joined 59 by tea. It was just the start when the rain knocked it.
