Dinesh Karthik who was the flowing member of the Indian squad a couple of years ago is suffering from his finger injury, and he is not in proper touch with the livings of cricket and its sources.

Since the talented wicket keeper is suffering from his injury in the mean time the ongoing squad’s wicket keeper Saha has been injured and is being replaced by Parthiv Patel.

As per the CRICKET NEWS and sources SPORTSLIBRO understands that Karthik would have been the first choice for the selectors if and only if he was not injured, but due to his serious finger injury he has been kept out of the replacement squad as well which will definitely mark a major drawback in the cycle of his cricketing career.

Before the start of the 2016-17 Ranji tournament Karthik displayed his statement saying that he still has chances and is hoping high for the national comeback.

And the wicket keeper batsmen was right upto his goals and was working hard in the Ranji matches with scores like 163, 73, 95, 65, 80 and 54 to his name, until he set a major drawback in the form of injury while wicket keeping for his side.

This is what the coach Anil Kumble said in a press conference regarding Karthik,

“Regarding Dinesh, at the moment, I don’t think he is keeping wickets for Tamil Nadu and I am not sure why that is the case.

“But, at the moment, from what I gather he is not keeping wickets,” 

And this is what Karthik said:

“It was a hairline fracture in the middle-finger on the right hand and yet I decided to keep wickets in the next two matches. It got worse and I was advised not to keep wickets as any further damage would mean the end of my season.

“I feel terribly bad as I have worked hard on my keeping skills. Ahead of the season, I worked with former India keeper Sameer Dighe on my glove work.

“Gautam Gambhir and Ashish Kapoor (captain and coach of India Blue side in Duleep Trophy) can certainly talk about the improvement I have made as a keeper,” Karthik told TOI on Thursday.

Dinesh Karthik have not lower dower down his hopes and being a man of positive attitude and character he defined as,

 “Though I’m a bit upset, I now know that I’m in contention.

“I will be fit for the next game against Gujarat as a keeper. I have given my best in batting and I’m confident of doing well with the gloves as well. Keeping is a lot like umpiring, the misses are remembered most.

“I have genuinely improved as a keeper and I’m itching to wear them back. As I said about two months back, I still have the burning desire to play for India again,” he
