KOHLI HOLDS THE NO.1 POSITION AND ASHWIN IS BACK ON TOP 5

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli retains his No.1 position in Twenty20 rankings where as off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin returns to top 5 bowlers of the list

Ranking of the players changed a lot during the series between India and West Indies. India won the Test series on 2-0 where as West Indies gained the first Twenty20 and the other was called off due to rain.

Indian star Virat Kohli still holding his place as the No.1 batsman in Twenty20 format while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is back on top 5, moved to fourth position from seventh. On the other hand KL Rahul came up to the place of 31 during the Twenty20 series against the Caribbeans in Lauderhill, USA.

India and West Indies do not differ much in the points table as India is with 126 and West Indies before the series was six points behind, while now they are with 125.  The extraordinary one run win by West Indies brought them to this level and currently New Zealand leading the list with 132 points.

Evin Lewis from West Indies scored a ton off 49 balls in the first T20 which took him to 51st position. Rohit Sharma from India reached the 17th position after scoring 62 and 10* in both the T20Is respectively.

For off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, 2016 is moving with a great taste in all formats. He returned to the top 5 list after grabbing 2 wickets for 11 runs in the second match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (67th) and Mohammad Shami (82nd) both came up after the T20I and leg-spinner Amit Mishra came back in the list on 104th position after hitting 3 for 24 runs in the second match.
