MS Dhoni has an illustrious career since his debut way back in 2004 against Bangladesh and has been an inspiration for many young cricketers all around the globe.

Cricket news: The batsman has played under Dhoni in this year’s IPL

He has achieved many successes in his career and garnered a lot of fame and praises as he is the only captain to have won all the coveted trophies of ICC.

He is currently playing in the limited overs format in India’s tour of England and is touted to play a vital role in the upcoming 2019 World Cup which will be held in England and Wales.

Recently the wicketkeeper-batsman and former captain of India turned 37 and was greeted with lots of heartfelt birthday wishes from his family, his teammates and many other personalities.

English batsman Sam Billings also praised MSD for being his role model as the Brits cricketer played under the captainship of Dhoni in Chennai Super Kings in this year’s IPL.

The Kent-born cricketer also revealed Dhoni’s tactics while he plans to take on the opposition and also said that it is privilege to play and share the same dressing room with such a legend.

“It was incredible batting with him in the first game, and to get us across the line as well. What struck me most was his calmness. He’s just so calm the whole time. I asked him about it, and he said that through experience and being able to train, he’s got better and better at it towards the latter part of his career.

“It was amazing to witness – he selects the bowlers that he looks to take down, then executes it as well. It’s pretty special being at the other end and in the same dressing room as someone like that,” Billings said in an interview to ESPNCricinfo.

“It was about being conscious of body language, not giving too much away to the batsman but the bowler as well, to be honest, People don’t mean to bowl bad balls, but the way Dhoni deals with it and relaxes, ultimately it makes them feel a hell of a lot more comfortable,” he added.
