SHAI HOPE JOINED WEST INDIES TEST SQUAD

Shai Hope joined west Indies Test squad replacing Rajendra Chandrika to play against India.

West Indies added Shai Hope in their test squad to fight against India in the third test match of four which is scheduled to start from August 9 in St. Lucia. The 22-year-old opener replaced Rajendra Chandrika as his statistics rolled down to earth. He acquired 16, 31, 5 and 1 in the first two Tests which brought his average to 14.00. Currently, his runs are being considered as the worst among the West Indies opening batsmen who managed to play 10 or more innings.

Hope, the right-hand opening batsman from Barbados played six test matches till date. He gained 171 runs with an average of 15.45 and very skilful in keeping wickets. Presently, he is in an admirable form. In the WICB Professional Cricket League four-day tournament, he scored two hundreds and a century in the warm-up match in President’s XI for WICB.
