Bravo Challenges Dhoni to a Race

After the 2018 auctions concluded, many pundits from all over the world mocked Chennai Super Kings as one of the overaged teams.

Cricket news: Age is just a number as overaged CSK lifts third title

They even ruled them out of contention for the title as the shortest format of the game needed fit and agile players. But the overaged CSK team ended up winning the Indian Premier League and proved everyone wrong.

The team was comprised of a group of veterans who proved that they were fit enough to compete and for them age was just a number.

It was 36-year-old Shane Watson, who scored a brilliant century on the night of the finals, to steer his team to a third title after they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets.

The team comprised of as many as 9 players who were above 30 years of age. They also had to deal with injuries to the key players at times and were replaced by youngsters, who were superbly managed by the entire team management.

After lifting the title and after the celebrations were done, MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo challenged each other to get involved in an interesting race to prove who is the fittest amongst the two.

Bravo, who is two years younger than Dhoni, challenged him on the 22 yards to check who completes 3 runs faster.

It was a close contest and Bravo gave a tough fight, but it was Dhoni who eventually managed to sneak ahead like a boss and win the race.

Dhoni, who is currently 36-years-old, is deemed as one of the fittest cricketers in world cricket. He is known to be swift in between wickets as he always looks to rotate the strike early in his innings.

A lot of cricket is still left in him and like the way he reinvented himself as a finisher in this IPL, he will surely go a long way now.
