Rohit Almost Missed His Flight to England, Says Karthik

Dinesh Karthik and Rohit Sharma are currently playing for the Indian national team in the limited overs series against England on English soil.

Cricket news: Karthik and Sharma were both part of the famous chat show

Team India began their tour by winning both the T20I games against Ireland. Later they won the first T20I against England at Old Trafford in Manchester but lost the second game at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

The team’s departure to the United Kingdom was an eventful one as recently in a chat show named ‘Breakfast With Champions’, which is hosted by Gaurav Kapur, Karthik revealed in front of Rohit that how Rohit almost missed his flight to the European country.

Karthik said, “We all assembled in Delhi and were supposed to leave for UK. Our man (Rohit) came chilled, having forgotten his passport back in Mumbai. It got delivered to him just in time, else he would’ve been left behind.”

The wicketkeeper-batsman also mentioned that he has also not eluded such goof-ups and can be of an unmindful nature mostly when he uses his phone.

“That’s one of the things I want to change about myself. Supposed you’re talking to me, I’ll just get lost and that sometimes comes across as rude. A lot of times I switch on my phone to do something, but by the time it opens I forget what I wanted to do,” he added.

Rohit defended himself by funnily mentioning that his teammates unnecessarily make up stories just to pull his leg. “Everyone forgets their passport but these guys just make stories about me,” Rohit remarked.

Apart from these Karthik mentioned that he loves to spend his time with the Indian opener. The Indian team will next play the final T20I game of the series at the County Ground in Bristol.
