An independent anti doping tribunal from Kingston, West Indies imposed a ban on the 28 year old all rounder.

The World Anti Doping Agency found him guilty in this case.

Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission accused some charges on this 28 year old player in March 2016.

They told that they try to give him reminder, but he neglects their phone calls, Emails and letter files about his information.

Russell fails to give them the sufficient information about where he was in the state of January 1, July 1 and also in July 25, in 2015.

The committee will impose a two year ban on him as per the charges, but he is hoping that they will reduce it to one year.

Before the verdict the West Indies all round told that he is hoping that he can still be a representative for his country in the games.

He added: It’s been stressing and hard playing cricket and all that’s in the back of your head. But at the end of the day you have to do what you have to do,”

“It’s like a big cloud over my head. If I get a ban then definitely I’m out of cricket [during the period of the suspension]; I mean all formats. So I’d just love to know I’m back and I can represent Jamaica Tallawahs, West Indies, and all the other teams I play for in the world.”

Russell will miss the three tests in one year and according to WADA’s code they will considered equiponderant to failing the dope test.
