Team India’s one of the most dependable batsman Cheteshwar Pujara bats in the 3rd spot on team India in tests and it is one of the most bating positions that anyone wants to play for, but the 29 year old want to play in the shorter format as well he is not willing to bind himself in the test format only.

In the recent past, he captained the Rest of team India in the Irani Cup against the Ranji winners Gujrat, and under his captaincy the Rest of India won the match against them.

In that match the 29 year old Rest of India captain scored a wonderful century and the wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha scored a double ton in that match.

Pujara added: “Yes. It was a very good practice match for me, the Irani trophy. It was an ideal match to play well and contribute for team’s success. My partnership with (Wriddhiman) Saha was crucial. It was a very good platform to prepare for five Tests coming up against Bangladesh and Australia.

In the past, he has been overlooked, but again ,he has made is spot on the national team with some excellent knocks.

He voiced: “I have been batting well. Especially at No.3. I wouldn’t say it’s my spot but this is where I have scored all my runs. That’s where I have succeeded in domestic cricket and now internationally. So very happy to play at No.3. As a team also we have played some really good cricket in 2016. We want to maintain that.”

In the recent past Australia played well against team Pakistan but they are not in their best for but a team from down under can never be debase and the no 1 test team in the world (team India) would not want to get complacent.

He added: “You can’t underestimate Australia. They play well at home and we do have an advantage here. But they always come up with some plan. So we will have the counter those.”
