MS DHONI:

After went so close score first T20 fifty in his entire international cricket career, the Ranchi born India international MS Dhoni has at last scored his first T20 fifty against England on Wednesday.

In the 3rd T20 against England, MS Dhoni went to bat at number 4 ahead of the Punjab born all rounder Yuvraj Singh and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands and so Dhoni went on to score a half-century to help India to reach a strong total of 202 runs.

The 35-year-old MS Dhoni made his T20 debut in 2006 vs South Africa in India’s first ever T20 match and it took him nearly 10 years and 76 innings to cross the 50-run mark despite having achieved the feat 93 times in other formats. He also has 15 IPL half-centuries to his name and at last Dhoni has scored his first international fifty on Wednesday against England.

But the third Twenty20 International in Bangalore on Wednesday could be MS Dhoni’s last at home if the felicitation given to him by the India team management is any indication.

As after the 3rd T20 match against England on Wednesday, the whole Indian Cricket team says Thank You MS Dhoni by providing a photo frame featuring his picture along with those of the 2007 World T20, the 2009 ICC Test mace, 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He had a very successful T20 series against England — the former skipper scoring 97 runs from three matches with an average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 138.57.
