The French manager of Arsenal believes the lack of Champions league football will not hurt them to during their contract talks with two key players.

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger persist the absence of Champions league will not break down the contract renew of two key players.

After the end of the season, the Arsenal side will try to hold on to their two key players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, with their discussion put on hold in order to focus on their top four finish.

Right now the Arsenal side is sitting at the sixth spot on the table, they are six points aback than the fourth place Manchester City side with one extra game in their hand.

Previously Arsenal was in the same situation but then the CL money helped them in their financial conditions but now this term he clear it there is no longer this case.

Wenger said: "Not really because we are in a strong financial position,"

"The weight of a Champions League place is less big than it was years ago.

"Financially, negotiations wise it will not have a huge impact.

"Maybe it can impact your reputation if in a longer spell you are not in there. But at the moment we are not in that mode.

"Still for us it is important because we want to play at the top level."
