The first one came on the Last week Jan. 5 against Athletic Bilbao. Over the weekend Jan. 8 he did it against Villarreal and on Wednesday, he did it again in a win over Athletic Bilbao.
On Wednesday, the 29-year-old forward Messi found the net for the third consecutive game, grabbing a big free kick goal late against in the second leg of Barcelona's Copa del Rey round of 16 clash. The goal gave Barca a 3-1 lead in the match and 4-3 on aggregate. The team would not look back after that goal.
Anyhow the five times ballon d’Or Lionel Messi, who has already scored more than 500 career goals seems like looking to reclaim the title of the world's best footballer after missing out on the award in 2016.
