The English coach wants his team to reach to the INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE play offs and wants to play a match against Mumbai City FC.
In their previous FOOTBALL MATCH Kerala Blaster faced a huge defeat against Mumbai FC and that is the reason the Kerala FC gaffer wants them in the play off’s in the third season of the INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE.
Friday the Tuskers Will host the FC Pune City in their home soil, and that will a crucial match for them as they have chance to reach to the play off’s n this season if they manage to win against Habas’s men.
The 61 year old coach explain his view before their match against FC Goa FC,
He said: “To be honest, we have reviewed that game and as far as I’m concerned our business with that game is done. To me personally, to be two-nil down after thirty minutes is hard to come back. We changed a couple of things at half-time and tried to get back into the game. I thought the third goal in the game would be vital. Maybe we could have conceded less had we kept it tighter. Unfortunately, that did not happen. But that’s finished now. Mumbai are a good team with huge investment so that game was always going to be difficult. We are now looking forward to the next game,”
But the Kerala Blaster’s coach is optimistic, and he hopes that if this time they reach to the play off’s and they face Mumbai FC, then this time they can manage to stop their run.
He said: “Mumbai just seemed very good that day. More than physical pace, it was speed of thought, but somebody will work out how to stop them. I hope it’s us in the playoffs. But we have got to earn the right to do that and first we need to do well against Pune,”
There were lot of question going around when he put on Rino Anto to the first team as a left wing and Pratik Chaudhury as a fullback in that match where they conceded 5 goals from Mumbai.
The former Crystal Palace boss justified his decision by saying that:
“To be fair, we did well in the final twenty minutes against Chennaiyin FC when Rino was playing wide left. So, I sort of duplicated that against Mumbai and then played him at fullback later on,”
