Sane cannot expect to be regarded like Ozil and Muller: Hummels

Football News: Sane got excluded from the German world cup squad for Russia to something of a backlash, but the German centre-half back up his national gaffer.

Hummels criticized about his own countryman.

The Bayern Munich defender criticized about the young German attacker Sane after he left out from the German squad for the upcoming world cup, Hummels believes that 21 years old cannot expect to get the same regard what Mesut Ozil and Thomas Muller get, just after having a one good season with his club team.

In the previous season, the youngster had a scintillating season with the Sky Blues, he scored 10 goals for them and sets up 15 for his club mates and helped them to win the premier league crown.

Because of his wonderful form, he received the Professional Footballers' Association's Young Player of the Year, but his form with his country did not impress his national coach to put his name for the world cup squad.

Despite this decision, the German coach has faced a lot of criticism but Hummels stand by his national coach and believes that Sane is not that integral as Ozil and Muller in the German squad.

Hummels voiced: "Leroy Sane has not the same standing as Thomas Muller or Mesut Ozil,"

"Sometimes it takes time to have the same standing in the national team as in your club.

"It is noticeable that the guys coming up from youth ranks – at Bayern too – are different guys to 10, 12 years ago.

"That is the new generation. They are characterised by a different behaviour, like on social media.

"I was always the youngest one in my team and I had to carry the goals. That is simply normal. Nowadays you notice some 18-year-olds don't understand why they have to do this.

"I didn't talk a single word in the Bayern locker room during the first weeks. I only talked to Stephan Furstner and Michael Rensing because I knew them from the second team.

"To everyone
else I maybe said 'hello', but today everything is faster and after one week players behave like they've already played three years for the team."
