Ronaldo Opens Up On Neymar Transfer Talks

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally opened up on the transfer talks of Neymar who is supposed to make a move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid this summer.

Football news: I am used to big-name players being linked to the club, says Ronaldo

Neymar has made it clear to his present club that he wants to get transferred this summer, but reports say that the French club will put up a fight to keep their star man.

Pini Zahavi, who is Neymar’s agent, had earlier met with Madrid president Florentino Perez on May 13 before meeting with the lawyer of Neymar the next day.

Neymar had joined PSG last summer in 2017 and his contract runs till 2022, and PSG will do anything to get the most out of this contract.

When Portuguese and Real Madrid superstar was asked about the transfer, he said that he is used to big names being linked to the club, the only thing is that the transfer does not happen in real.

He told El Chiringuito de Jugones, "At Madrid there is continually talk of signings. I have been here eight years and they are always talking about 50 players that are going to come, and in the end none come. In September a lot of players are going to come and then in the end those who reach the finals are always the same."

Neymar had many controversial moments at PSG and had once appeared to be in dispute with Edinson Cavani on the pitch, squabbling over who would take penalties and free-kicks.

From then he has been linked to a world record €222 million (£200m/$262m) transfer to Real Madrid, before he received a foot injury which ruled him out for most of the 2017-18 season.

PSG were eliminated from the Champions League last 16 stage when they lost against Real Madrid. This costed Unai Emery his job, who will now replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal for the next season.

Neymar has fully recovered from his injury and has joined the training camp of the national squad in Teresopolis and has started training with the team.

Only time will say if the transfer happens, even if it takes place, it would have to be done after the Russia World Cup gets over on July 15.
