Australia lost their first two matches against South Africa in their home ground after that they made some changes in their squad and adding some Debuts in their squad and emerged as a victorious against them(South Africa) in their third test at Adelaide.

The two batsman Peter Handscomb and Matt Renshaw played their innings decently, but the left handed batsman Nic Maddinson scored a duck in his first innings, and he is now feeling the pressure to hold his spot in the team, everyone expecting the Australian opener Shaun Marsh will get better before the Boxing day test, right now he is suffering form a injury of a broken finger.

The Australian batsman Shaun Marsh played the last man as an opener batsman and he played well in that match but if situation demand he can fit himself at any spot in the batting order.

The Australian coach is happy how his new looked team performed in the last test match but he is not sure which this will be his first team or not for the next matches

The coach added:

“We’ve got to worry about when he’s fit … then we’ll work out what we do,”

“You’d love to have continuity all the time, in this day and age sometimes that’s not possible … but you’d love to keep a group together, a younger group especially.

“The guys who came in did a really good job,”

“If you can keep the group together for five years or so, or whatever it is – until the older guys go – it makes it easier. But then you’ve got different conditions and blokes in and out of form, so you just have to sum it up along the way.”

There were some conviction over the team selection but the coach expressed his view on that:

“When you lose, you need to change,”

“We had to inject some new players, players who can grow and play for 10 years … develop a side who can grow for a long period of time.
