Sevilla signed Argentina international Gabriel Mercado in their team on Thursday.



Mercado was the star-player of River Plate in the finals of Copa America this summer. He won six trophies in  Buenos Aires, it was the club which lost against Barcelona in the finals of  2015 Club World Cup.

Skipper Coke desiring to fill the void with entry of the 29-year-old defender who came from  Primera Division to Bundesliga. 

There are 10 international caps in the name of Mercado, he was the star-player for Argentina in this year’s Copa America Centenario campaign. The 29-year-old defender became the ninth signing for Sevilla this off-season and will be guided by their new coach, Jorge Sampaoli.
