Neymar is Ronaldo’s heir at Madrid: Valdano

Football News: The Portuguese’s future is in doubt at Madrid, but the former Madrid direct believes that he has a ready-made successor waiting at Madrid.

Neymar is the ideal player to replace Ronaldo at Madrid.

According to the former Madrid director, Jorge Valdano Neymar is the ideal heir to the Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the last transfer window, the Brazilian star has made a shocking move to PSG from Barcelona for a world record fee of €222million.

Ronaldo’s own future at Madrid is in doubt after the Champions league final Ronaldo voiced that he could leave the club although on a trophy parade he indicated that he would stay.

Valdano who manager Madrid in 1990’s knows that the Brazilian ace is the ideal man to replace the 33-year-old Ronaldo.

Valdano voiced: "I must say that Neymar is at the level of Real Madrid,"

"For me, he is the closest heir to Cristiano Ronaldo.

"It seems to me a legitimate aspiration to bet on a player of his talent that will reach its fullness in the next five years."

The French capital side could lose their star man after one year, but Valdano believes his move to PSG was quite worthwhile as this season they have own domestic treble.

Valdano added: "It has been a great success for PSG to manage to recruit Neymar,"

"That gave the Parisian club another dimension in the world of football."

Now Neymar is preparing for the world cup, and Brazil will envisage Switzerland on this Sunday.
