Rashid Names The Best Batsman In The World

The Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is getting better and better each day at the international level as he just finished playing against Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series.

Cricket news: Rashid considers himself ‘unlucky’ not to bowl to a legendary batsman.

Rashid had been phenomenal in the Indian Premier League where he took wickets of many great batsmen and single-handedly won many matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

However Rashid considers himself unlucky as he could not bowl to Sachin Tendulkar, as the ‘Little Master’ had retired from cricket a few years ago.

In the T20I series he had taken 8 wickets from three matches as Afghanistan clean sweeper Bangladesh, where Rashid was named Man of the Match in the first two games.

In an interview to Cricket Soccer, Rashid revealed that currently the Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world.

He was equally disappointed when he learnt that Kohli will not be able to play the historic one-off Test against Afghanistan, as Rashid will miss the opportunity to bowl to Kohli in the Test.

“I would love to bowl to him [Kohli] in Test cricket as well. He is the best batsman right now in the world. [But] I think there are lots of other [world-class] batsmen in the [Indian] line-up,” he said.

The 19-year-old also said that he is unlucky not to able to bowl to Sachin Tendulkar as according to him there will never be a batsman like Tendulkar in the history of cricket.

“I would love to bowl to him. I think taking his wicket is something else but you know just bowling to him is a dream of every player, every bowler. I don’t’ think that such a player will come again to this world. So, I should consider myself a little bit unlucky not to bowl to him,” the leggie added.
