Montolivo guided his side to win the match against Lazio on Tuesday. Though the AC Milan skipper accepted that he was mocked by their supporters.
The Italian midfielder acknowledged that some part of San Siro spectators would never like him, after being mocked by their own supporters on their home ground when AC Milan won against Lazio by 2-0.
The Rossoneri man captained Milan to their third win of this campaign, but once again the Rossoneri fans targeted him and, he was mocked by them. Montolivo consented on it that he would never win over his critics.
"The San Siro crowd is demanding," he told Mediaset Premium. "Some of the crowd does not like me and I can never make it right. There's nothing I can do about that."
However, despite of his personal troubles, Montolivo is hopeful that Milan can build on an impressive triumph and sealed thanks to goals from Carlos Bacca and M'Baye Niang.
"It was a balanced game," he said. "Lazio have quality and in the second half we have seen that.
"We did well. We were balanced, practical and clinical, and we have to carry on like this."
