Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona’s hotshot Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi respectively, are the three finalists for the 2016 FIFA Best Men’s Footballer of the Year award, formerly known as FIFA World Footballer of the Year award, which replaces the FIFA Ballon d'Or after the world football governing body and France Football ended their six-year partnership.
The 2016 Ballon d'Or is going to be announced next week 12th Dec. and the Portuguese international and Real Madrid hotshot Cristiano Ronaldo is favorite to win the award after helping Real Madrid to win last season's Champions League and the 31-year-old also guided the Portugal national team to their Euro 2016 glory as he ended the 2015-16 campaign with scoring 51 goals in all competitions for Madrid, while he scored three at the European Championship in France.
But, according to the Brazilian star forward Neymar, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi deserves to win the Ballon d'Or 2016.
As in an interview Neymar said,
"I don't know who will win, for me there is only one who's the best, that's Messi,"
"Ronaldo is a great player, he's world class and has been for many years and I respect him.”
"But Messi is the one who deserves it, for me."
