The finance chief of Bayern Munich has confessed that fact that Manchester United was ready to pay a colossal amount for Muller but it was eventually turned down by the German Club.
The Red Devils were keeping a close eye on this German international as they are trying their very best to bring Muller to Old Trafford and in this process they are leaving no stone unturned.
last summer the Red Devils was ready to sign a deal of Excess €100m for Muller but it didn't pay any dividends.
Manchester United have always been club of Glitz and Glamour though they were ready to pay that amount for Muller but in the end they paid much higher sums to get the likes of Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly, Mkhitaryan have also joined the great legacy of Manchester United,
When asked to the Bayern's executive vice-chairman Jan-Christian Dreesen said:
"There really was such a thing.
"A fax came from England. For us, however, the sale of Thomas Muller was never discussed.
"If a player fits us, we would be stupid to take the short-term prospect of a record profit while weakening the team."
